Welcome to Community Cat Connection
Our mission is to help community cats live safe and healthy lives by providing resources to those who care for them. We are a volunteer-based, non-profit organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of cats.
About Us
The Community Cat Connection was created to help cats that fall through the cracks simply because there is a lack of resources, or they are turned away by animal shelters or rescues. Our mission is simple. We are a non-profit dedicated to helping community cats live safe and healthy lives by providing resources to those who care for them. We are managed by a board of directors and are completely volunteer-based. No one is paid a salary, and all our funds are used only to provide care for the cats we help.
Our story began when one caring person reached out to a friend about a mother cat who was hit by a car the same day she gave birth to 4 babies. Despite several phone calls, no shelter or rescue could take the babies. There was an urgent need if the babies were to survive. Another friend was willing to pick them up and transport them to someone who would bottle feed and nurture them. Thus, the idea of the “Community Cat Connection” was born. Because these generous people intervened, not only did these kitties – Frankie, Fonzie, Finn & Forrest – survive, they thrived and now live with families who love them. It really does take a village.

The Community Cat Connection needs your help. We need “boots on the ground” people to rescue and transport, and people to foster the rescued and help with socialization and preparation for adoption. We need continuous resources to provide food and much-needed medical care.

What happens to homeless animals? It is sad but true: they get hit by cars, are at risk of attacks by other animals, and people can be intentionally cruel to them. They contract, spread, suffer, and die from untreated diseases and wounds. They freeze in the winter and suffer heat exhaustion in the summer. Water sources can be frozen or polluted. Their lives are full of fear and discomfort and are often cut short.
“The love for all living creatures is the most noble attribute of man” – Charles Darwin
Remember, it takes a real village connection to help these cats live safe, content, and healthy lives.
